A British Airways aircraft flying from Hyderabad to London's Heathrow Airport aborted a landing attempt seconds after it touched down on the runway. The pilot was quick to respond and took the plane back up in the air again. The incident happened over the gusty winds that have hit Heathrow, the reports said.

Why does this happen?
If the plane has a high sink rate and touches down hard, inertia forces its tail down as its main gear hit the pavement. As the tail moves down, angle-of-attack rapidly increases, creating enough lift to propel your plane back into the air. The harder you land, the higher you'll bounce.

A heart-stopping video:
A hair raising video of the aborted landing of the plane swaying in the winds was shared on Twitter and has taken the social media by storm. Netizens are praising the pilot's skill for handling the situation by avoiding any uninvited circumstance. A clip of the 'TOGA', or Take Off/Go Around, shared on Twitter has already garnered over 2.9 million views. Take a look:

witter users admired the pilot for handling the incident. "Excellent response by professional pilots" a user on the micro-blogging site, said. Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport arrived at London Heathrow on Friday after a delay of 18 minutes.
