You have to be flexible to do yoga: And you have to be slim before you hit the gym, right? Wrong. You can't master something before you've actually learned it. It is through Yoga that your body ends up becoming more flexible. And even then it's a slow, step-by-step process. It takes a lot of patience and practice but eventually you get there.

We're often advised to not move around much when our body hurts but it's just our brains telling us that we can't exercise. Research has proven that yoga can really help heal many chronic body aches if treated with the right yoga poses. Not only does it help reduce pain it also increases mobility and provides you with many other benefits. So, if you do have body pain you can go ahead and do yoga, but make sure you do it right.

No, no they don't. Honestly who gave people this idea? It's like saying oil and water go well together. Music can prove to be a big distraction. Yoga is supposed to be an exercise for your mind and body. And you won't be able to focus unless there's absolute silence. In fact, even talking is discouraged in Yoga centers. So if you're listening to music while doing Yoga you're probably doing it wrong.

Wrong again! Yoga originated in India but that doesn't mean that it should be associated with Hinduism or any sort of religion for that matter. Yoga prospered in the culture in India which is why people started thinking that it originated from Hinduism, however that isn't true.

If your goal is to attain those six-pack abs you've always dreamed of then you're in the wrong fitness journey. Yoga does offer you multiple physical fitness benefits but it's also a lot more than just that. Yoga helps transform your very being. Be it physically, psychologically or physiologically, yoga helps you attain a certain level of spirituality

Seriously who is spreading these rumours? Maths and Science can be studied from a book but even those subjects require physical experiments to be able to fully comprehend them. The only way you can learn Yoga properly is through a trained yogi or someone who is a qualified trainer. So, don't go experimenting on your own.

"Yoga is not something that you do morning-evening. It is a certain way of being. One must become yoga. If it's morning-evening yoga, the rest of the time entanglement - this is not yoga, this is only yoga practice," said a reknown Indian yogi. Yoga is a way of life and you may practice it whenever you want.
